Mother's Day 2010

Blogs or Posts, D's Photos, David's Writing

The sun was beckoning on the horizon but I sat in the sand for a short while and felt the cold morning air and the sharp sting of sand blowing from the north. The weather plays tricks on me this time of year and I ventured into the darkness without a warm coat.

It reminded me of a day not long ago in earth years when I was removed from the warmth of a tender place where we lived together. You and I shared the same flesh and our souls were so close it was not possible to have a private thought.

I was your son.

And now as the beach begins to bring forth light I am with you as always only a short distance away.

Love covers me as the sun begins to rise and I am no longer cold. I feel your smile.

I love your touch.

Each day is special to us.
