Time Is Not Of The Essence

Blogs or Posts, David's Writing

It’s Monday morning and everyone is heading back to whatever they do following  Thanksgiving weekend activities.   In my case this means rolling out of bed and sitting down to the computer nearly five feet away to write.

Something.  Lately there has been a blank space in my brain where the words are supposed to go.  I always wonder why this happens from time to time.   If there is a long dead poet up there who is attempting to say something then maybe he takes breaks for various reasons.

It could have something to do with the holidays.

Or maybe he works with other flesh and blood entities and needs to run back and forth.

Perhaps he sleeps for weeks at a time.

Actually I may not be paying attention to him.  Lately I have been spending a lot of time in Middle Earth  consolidating my band of warriors.  The future of this game looks good since it was acquired by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.  Next year we will be taking the battle to the evil wizard Saruman.  It’s always fun exploring new areas in the game.

This will happen in October 2011.  Can you believe I would be looking forward to an online game event almost a year away?

I’m slowly beginning to realize that I do not actually “live” here on earth.  It has been a slow process these past few decades of finding a comfortable “space” somewhere between solid ground and a starry ceiling.

We are all different and unique.

And the imaginations that helped us in childhood to reach maturity are waiting for us as we relax once again in our senior years.   Hours can turn into days and weeks.

Time is not of the essence.

“Experience the Rise of Isengard – The Epic Story continues as the Grey Company makes its way south into Dunland, but troubles arise as their road takes them into lands where Dunlending forces, marshaled by the Wizard Saruman, prepare for war. The Rangers must seek new allies and face dangerous new foes, chief among them the traitor Saruman, whose web of intrigue threatens to endanger your quest, your friends, and your life. ”   Lord of the Rings Online
